Not legal advice, ( as always reminded )
It's unfortunately easy to forget that consumers need protection. To misdirect criticism - for example - about systemic problems with Ontario's justice system, or access to justice or congestion. Or costs of litigation etc.
Yes, unable to afford professionals lotsa S.R.L. self-represented ( pro se ) litigants struggle with the complexities of shared ownership disputes ( condos, co-ops, Building Schemes ), tenancy disputes, immigration issues etc . It's a jungle.
With that general background in place, a Toronto Superior Court
has just issued an injunction ( sought by the Law Society of Ontario ) against a non-registered plumbing operation for unlawfully practicing law and delivering legal services.
The plumbing group's bizarre FaceBook pages now proclaim to the universe that the operation was
in-house , presumably explaining the FIVE STAR EVALUATION it claims at a FB page not yet removed.

Was it just to coerce disputant customers ?
(
Also Wonder how good the plumbing work might be if there's a big need to litigate against customers. Conversely, there's probably good reasons not to hire lawyers nor paralegals to install plumbing nor fix your tractor . . . ? )

( " Hey. Hand me the combination wrench & a subpoena ! . . . )
What's now called The Law Society of Ontario's mandate can be seen at the

habeas corpus plea from inside the slammer by a now-disbarred Toronto lawyer. She had been sentenced to a net
FIVE YEAR imprisonment for certain immigration work.

Think consumers don't need the Law Society ?
