Did UNRESOLVED City BYLAW complaints trigger KILLING OF FOUR GERIATRICS by kvetcher's hubby ? 2019/04/20 16:20
“gentle; excellent civil engineer; great tenant” - but did the 68 year old start shooting to death the targets of his ex-wife's proliferative city bylaw complaints ?

In a low-density Penticton B.C. suburb of detached lowrise homes with mountains in the background, neighbours are reeling about FOUR DEADLY SHOOTINGS within an hour on April 15/19.

And about who has been charged for the killings !

And about possibly WHY ? !

Sounds like Florida HOA interactions scripted for a Clint Eastwood movie . . . .

68 year old Penticton BC civil engineer John Brittain – described as gentle & quiet co-tenant or former co-tenant of 4 plex with ex-wife - voluntarily surrendered unarmed to RCMP. He has been charged after 4 geriatric neighbours were shot to death within an hour on Mon April 15/19 . He has not been convicted ( nor is it likely he has any criminal history ).

But why ? Speculation has drifted to . . .

Against the deceased the accused's ex-wife is cited ( by an unidentified former City employee ) to have filed a number of bylaw complaints in recent years.

The unidentified source listed the wife's complaints against the deceased in the detached-home suburb, to have concerned woodburning backdrafts, home business violations, non-compliant landscaping and drainage issues.

Further a local editor recounts receiving a wide range of prolonged ( ? inexhaustible ? ) complaints from the accused's ex-wife.

Could these have precipitated a killing spree ? Especially involving geriatrics ?

Could this outcome have been guessed ?

John Brittain was municipally employed 2011- 2016 & retired to private engineering.
